ICK: Everyones Got One

Land on Ick and you're on the spot: tell the table about the exact moment someone went from fancied to finished for you, the tiny, ridiculous thing that killed it stone dead. Full story, out loud. Or take the drink instead and keep it to yourself.

At a real table this is where the night splits in two. Half the group already has a story loaded and can't wait to get it out; the other half goes quiet and finds their pint very interesting. The best ones are never big dramatic reveals — it's always something small and specific: a voice note, a text sent too keen, someone chewing with their mouth open at exactly the wrong moment. Say it well and the whole table's laughing before you've finished the sentence.

Where it gets tricky is when the ick involves an ex, a situationship, or someone sat two seats down. Naming names live takes nerve. The safer move is picking a story that's properly funny but vague enough that nobody at the table needs to leave in a huff.

If you'd rather not gamble, the drink's right there, no judgement — some icks are only funny with a few years on them. It sits out in the 4th Circle, one of the board's three big twenty-wedge rings, so it's not a rare hit. Expect at least one confession before the night's done.
