Boilerplate
DartUp is a dartboard party game founded in Newry, Northern Ireland, in 2023 by Arnis Piekus and Edgar Staugas. Every wedge on the board is a forfeit instead of a score, spread across four game modes and 69 forfeits. The board ships in three builds — magnetic, paper and bristle — through a 100-pre-order gated pre-sale, with a full automatic refund if the count falls short.

Quotable
“We scribbled some forfeits on paper and pinned them round a dartboard. Throw a dart, do whatever it landed on — that was the whole idea.”
“That first board had 45 forfeits. Every party after, we added a few, cut what fell flat, and kept whatever got a reaction. Forty-five turned into 69 that way.”
“The company stalled for a couple of years — day jobs, funding, life got in the way. We never stopped playing it at our own parties, though, which is why we're back doing it properly.”
