Give & Take asks for a straight swap. You hand your phone to whoever's on your right, they hand you theirs, and for one text apiece you're each holding a live grenade. Send a message from that phone to anyone in the contacts — or refuse together and take a shot instead. No half-measures: whichever you pick, you're both in it.

At a real table this is the wedge that stops conversation. There's a beat where the phones change hands and everyone leans in, because the other player is already scrolling, weighing up the ex, the mum, the group chat, the boss. The good texts are throwaway nonsense. The bad ones are the ones somebody thinks about for a second too long before hitting send.

The honest dodge: agree on the shot before anyone's even opened the contacts list. Nobody's ever regretted a round of shots the way they've regretted a text. If you do go through with it, keep the message daft rather than devastating — you'll be swapping phones with this lot again before the night's out.
