3rd Circle · wedge 5
Nickname
“The group picks the thrower a new name. Everyone must call them by their new name for the rest of the game. Failure to do so results in 2 drinks. 💬🙊”
Land here and the table renames you. The group agrees a new name on the spot, and it's the only name you get for the rest of the game — real name slips out, from anyone, and that's two drinks.
The naming bit is easy. Remembering it exists is the hard part. Someone's three throws later, mid-sentence, and says the old name out of pure habit. Whoever catches it points first, and that's the two drinks sorted before the next throw.
Names that actually last the whole game tend to be short and tied to something that just happened — a spilled pint, a shocking throw, a comment somebody wishes they'd taken back. Overthink it and nobody remembers the clever version by round three, which rather undoes the point.
Worth agreeing early: keep it printable if there's anyone else in the pub garden, and don't let it quietly drop because policing your mates feels like effort. Once it stops getting used, it's not really a forfeit any more.
It sits on the 3rd Circle, so it's not a first-round certainty but it's not rare either — most nights it lands with enough game left for the new name to properly stick before the final leg.
18+ on the Party side. Every forfeit swaps for a sip or a dare, and the pub-safe Social side skips the booze entirely.
