Kings Cup — one shot from disaster

Land a dart in the outer bull and the King's Cup is yours. Not a sip, not a "cheers" round — the whole thing, in one go, no putting it down halfway.

Here's the part nobody plans for: that cup's been sitting on the table since the game started, and everyone's been quietly adding to it — a splash of lager here, the dregs of a WKD there. By the time someone actually lands a dart in it, half the room can't remember what's gone in, and the person throwing has to drink all of it anyway.

If you're the sort who tops the cup up early in the night, know that karma is a dartboard, and it usually finds you eventually. The fairer move is to add a normal splash, not a punishment cocktail, on the basis that it might be your round to finish.

The Centre only has two wedges — the bullseye and this one — so most throws miss it clean, and a lot of games go by without anyone meeting the cup at all. When it does happen, the whole table stops to watch, because everyone knows exactly what they've put in there.
