Stag Do Games

Nobody wants to be the best man frantically Googling games at 11pm the night before. This is a shortlist that works in an Airbnb, a hotel room, or a beer garden, and needs no craft supplies.

Whatever's on the guest list — most of these scale from 4 to 15+

You'll need

Varies by game — a dartboard, a deck of cards, or just a group willing to embarrass the groom

How to play

  1. 1Kings Cup — one deck, zero setup, works in any Airbnb kitchen once you're back from the pub.
  2. 2Dartboard drinking game, or DartUp's Dart Up mode — hand the groom the first throw and work out from there.
  3. 3Mr and Mrs, stag version — quiz the groom on how well his mates actually know him; wrong answers drink.
  4. 4Pub golf — assign a drink to each pub on the crawl, keep score like golf, lowest total wins.
  5. 5DartUp's Beer Darts mode — throw once each for your number, then spend the rest of the night trying to land on the groom's.
  6. 6Never Have I Ever — old reliable, works in a minibus or a beer garden, no props required at all.

Tips

  • → Check what the groom's actually comfortable with before you build the whole weekend around humiliating him — some of it's meant to land, not all of it.
  • → Pack something portable. A folding board or a deck of cards travels better than a full beer pong setup.
  • → Have a non-drinking option ready — not everyone on the guest list drinks, and it's still their weekend too.
