Dicks doesn't leave any wiggle room. It calls out the gentlemen at the table, and every one of them drinks, there and then. No dice to roll, no card to draw, nothing to argue your way out of — the dart lands and the round's already decided.

At a real table it plays out fast. The wedge hits, someone reads it aloud, and there's a beat where the rest of the table sits back to enjoy the moment. Glasses go up, a few groans, the odd bloke suddenly very interested in his phone. It tends to wobble in mixed or looser friend groups, where "gentlemen" doesn't cleanly cover everyone sat round the board — save the debate by agreeing upfront who's in, rather than holding up the game arguing about it.

There's no real dodge here, only stalling, and stalling reads worse than just necking it. The better move is good grace — this wedge has a sibling on the same ring, so paybacks tend to arrive sooner than people think.
